It is very satisfying when good Spanish products travel abroad and don’t remain just in Spain. That’s why we are very happy that the new Spanish version of Snow White, Blancanieves, is released in the United Kingdom this month.
This multi award winning silent black and white movie is coming to the Filmhouse and we are planning an excursion to 19th July at 8.30pm. Maybe you are curious why we are encouraging our students to watch a silent movie if they can’t practise listening. Well, Blancanieves is beautifully filmed and includes lots of flamenco dancing and references to bullfighting. Set in the twenties before the Spanish Civil War, so apart from enjoying an ingenious version of the fairy tale, students will learn a bit more about Spanish culture.
